International Auto Film Festa (IAFF) is a Japan-based film festival that brings together short films themed around automobiles, with entries submitted from over 60 countries worldwide.
The festival features a wide range of films filled with a love for cars, offering an open and welcoming gateway that can be enjoyed not only by car enthusiasts, but also by those without any special automotive knowledge.
With the aim of opening up the festival’s activities and behind-the-scenes operations to more people, and expanding the circle of those who enjoy the festival together with us, we have launched a crowdfunding campaign.

The environment has never been perfect, but each encounter and every form of encouragement has become a powerful force pushing the festival forward.
Expanding the Circle of People Who Enjoy the Festival
This crowdfunding campaign is not only about asking for support. What matters most to us is opening up the inner workings of IAFF and allowing more people to truly understand what the festival is about.
How we communicate with filmmakers from around the world, and how we build the spaces where the festival takes shape.

The Values That IAFF Holds Dear
What IAFF values most is not “selecting,” but “encountering.”
Regardless of genre or nationality, we treasure encounters with films that their creators want many people to see, and we introduce a wide variety of visual expressions submitted from around the world.
Selected finalist films are published on YouTube and shared in a way that respects the creators’ copyrights.
Rather than enclosing works within the festival itself, sharing them in forms that allow them to reach a wider audience is also one of IAFF’s core philosophies.
